If you've never sailed before, it's a whole new way to travel, and it's very different from land or air travel. Below, we have put together a lot of helpful information. Please see the Celebrity Cruises FAQ website if you have more questions!
We have curated an amazing list of items to make your cruise a smooth and easy process. The ship provides hairdryers in every room, so save your space. No irons allowed. There are never enough outlets in a room, so we have a few options for that. Don't forget the "reef-friendly" sunblock if you are going in the ocean. Click on our Amazon Wishlist button to see tips and tricks. You don't have to buy everything, but these things are super handy!
The choice is yours - It is a cruise after all so expect some in business attire, others in Hawaiian shirts and everything in between. Come as you are! TIP: bring a sweater or jacket as the Conference rooms and dining rooms may get chilly.
There will be TWO "Evening Chic" nights at dinner. See below.
Whatever the itinerary, destination, or occasion—when you pack, think “Relaxed Luxury.”
One handy packing tip is to use these lightweight hangers on your clothes in your suitcase at home, then simply pop them into your stateroom closet upon arrival. Big time saver!
Guests may bring a reasonable amount of clothing and personal effects on board the vessels. However, for guests’ comfort and convenience, it is recommended that they limit the number of items they bring. Laundry services are available at an additional cost.
DURING THE DAY: SHORESIDE
For warmer climates, pack swimsuits and cover-ups; walking shorts and shirts that protect from the sun; lightweight slacks; skirts or sundresses, and a light sweater or jacket. Hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen are always encouraged.
For cooler climates, bring clothing with long sleeves, sweaters, and pants that can be layered. In areas prone to snow or rain, waterproof jackets, hats, gloves, and umbrellas are recommended.
Around the globe, consider appropriate shoes and gear for the excursions you have planned and the terrain you’ll encounter. For instance, you may pack water shoes if hiking a waterfall or a headscarf or conservative dress for visiting museums, mosques, temples, and churches.
DURING THE DAY: SHIPBOARD
Throughout the ship, casual resort wear, such as sundresses, shorts, polos, or button-downs, is appropriate, paired with sandals, low heels, and loafers. Make sure you bring active wear and sneakers if you plan to hit the gym!
Poolside, bathing suits with coverups, T-shirts, tanks, hats, and sunglasses are welcome.
In main and specialty dining, we ask guests to refrain from wearing swimsuits, see-through coverups or robes, bare feet, tank tops, T-shirts, and baseball caps.
AT NIGHT: "SMART CASUAL"
Smart Casual attire is required for entry to main dining, specialty dining, and the Celebrity Theatre. Smart Casual means you look comfortable yet tasteful in a dress, skirt, long pants, or jeans, and a stylish top or button-down. Shorts and flip-flops are not considered Smart Casual.
AT NIGHT: "EVENING CHIC"
This 8-night itinerary features TWO “formal” nights we call "Evening Chic". Evening Chic means you dress to impress, glamorous and sophisticated in your own way, with a cocktail dress, skirt, slacks, or designer jeans, an elegant dress top or blazer—some guests even pack a tuxedo or gown for onboard photos, but that is definitely NOT required.
The Daily Program, delivered to your stateroom and available at the Guest Relations Desk, will be your guide to the correct attire each evening. If you do not wish to participate in Evening Chic, Smart Casual attire is acceptable for dining and theater.
There are no refunds if you do not have your Travel Identification Documents on the day of travel. Before leaving home, take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the required travel documents you will be asked to provide prior to boarding the ship. The requirements described below are required by government regulations and policies. They are subject to change without notice.
See the current passport requirements here.
It is your responsibility to identify and obtain all required travel documents and have them available at the pier when necessary. These appropriate valid travel documents such as passports, visas, inoculation certificate and family legal documents are required for boarding and re-entry into the United States and other countries. If you do not possess the proper documentation you may be prevented from boarding your flight or ship, or from entering a country, and you may be subject to fines. No refunds will be given to individuals who fail to bring proper documentation. Guests on consecutive sailings must ensure they have the proper travel documents for their entire cruise vacation.

You can check in on the app between 45 days and the morning of your sail day. Once you're outside that window, you can check in at the terminal on your sail day. Begin by signing in to Guest Account at the top of this website. For mobile and tablet users, please click the menu on the top left and then click Sign In. The Online Check-In process for all guests in your reservation needs to be completed at least three days prior to your sail date.
Since government regulations require cruise lines to submit final departure manifests at least 60 minutes prior to sailing, this will save you time having to fill out forms at the pier. If you have not completed Online Check-in, you will be required to complete this process at the pier two hours prior to the published sailing time.
It is recommended to print your luggage tags at home and insert them into the special cruise tag holders that you can buy on Amazon. This is a great way to ensure that your luggage makes it to your stateroom quickly and easily.
The app is very handy for making reservations, staying synced with "Ship Time" and everything else you need while on board! Scan your passport, choose an arrival time, and upload your proof of vaccination, right in the app. There's so much to see and do–keep track of it all on your personal in-app calendar. Make dinner reservations, purchase shore excursions, or book a spa treatment! You can also tap Deck Maps on the app's home screen or tap on any activity in the Daily Planner to see its location.
We suggest downloading prior to your sail day, so you can save time at the terminal. Use the app to check in for your cruise, set up your arrival time, and upload your proof of vaccination. You can also download the app at no charge onboard.
You can download the Celebrity Cruises app at no charge from the App Store or Google Play, and use the app at no cost onboard. No internet purchase required. In-app purchases available. Sign in using your guest account credentials. If you don't have an account, you can create one right in the app.
Want to get an early start on your cruise plans? We don't blame you. You can find out information about your cruise in the Celebrity Cruises app by browsing to and selecting a reservation, and then tapping the ship icon or calendar icon at the top of the screen.
Activities start coming together a couple of weeks before your cruise, so check back as your voyage nears.
Book early because some excursions do sell out!
To book excursions on Celebrity Cruises, login to your account and select your trip. There you'll find price lists and different itineraries for shore excursions. They also offer private excursions, which you can tailor to your interests.

These terms are quite common in the cruising world, and knowing them will help you navigate the ship and understand the daily schedules and information provided by the cruise staff. Familiarizing yourself with basic ship terms can indeed make your cruising experience more enjoyable.
1. Embarkation: The process of arriving at the Terminal and boarding the ship at the beginning of your cruise. (See below)
2. Disembarkation: The process of leaving the ship at the end of your cruise.
3. Ship time: The official time followed on board the ship, which may or may not align with the local time of the ports of call. It is crucial to be aware of the official ship time, especially when the ship is docked, to ensure that you return to the ship before it departs for the next destination. The cruise app always displays ship time. Be sure to trust the app's time and not your cell phone. Your cell phone will likely update to local time when we get to ports.
4. Excursions: Guided tours or activities arranged by the cruise line at the various ports of call during the cruise.
5. Stateroom Attendant: A friendly crew member responsible for cleaning and maintaining your cabin, and assisting you with any needs you may have regarding your accommodations onboard. Each attendant is assigned to the same set of rooms for the entire trip. If you have any issues with your room, they are the best point of contact to get assistance.
6. Daily Program: A flyer or booklet that is placed in your room each day that outlines the schedule of events, activities, and important information for the following day.
You'll want to know these so you get on the elevators closest to your end of the ship.
1. Forward or Bow: Refers to the front part of the ship.
2. Aft or Stern: Refers to the rear part of the ship.
3. Port Side: Refers to the left side of the ship when facing forward.
4. Starboard Side: Refers to the right side of the ship when facing forward.
6. Muster Station: The designated area where passengers are to gather in case of an emergency.

9. Tender: A small boat used to transport passengers from the ship to shore when the ship is anchored offshore rather than docked at a pier.
10. Purser: The officer onboard in charge of passenger accounts, lost and found, and general administration.
"Embarkation" refers to the process of boarding the ship to commence your cruise vacation. On embarkation day at Port Everglades Terminal 25, you'll arrive at the cruise terminal to kickstart your vacation.
Here’s how you can make the embarkation process swift and straightforward, along with what to expect:
1. Terminal Arrival Time: The time you can board the cruise depends on the kind of stateroom you have and the departure time of your cruise. It's advisable to check the Celebrity Cruises mobile app to confirm the sailing time of your ship on embarkation day. To sidestep long lines at security and the check-in desk, plan to arrive right when boarding begins. During check-in, you're required to select an arrival time. One of the benefits of app check-in is that your arrival time is listed on your mobile Xpress Pass. Lines tend to be shorter during the last hour of boarding, but arriving early ensures you don’t miss out on any onboard experiences.
2. Check-In: It’s recommended to utilize the Celebrity Cruises online check-in before your arrival at the embarkation port, as it expedites the process. While checking in online, you'll provide the necessary information, and you’ll receive an Xpress Pass, indicating that you've completed the check-in. This helps in getting onto the ship quickly and effortlessly.
3. Clothing: Comfort is key on embarkation day. It's alright to keep it casual. Some people wear bathing suits underneath their clothes or pack them in their carry-on to head to the pool right away. Others may choose to dress up for family photographs as they board the ship. It's advisable to pack an extra outfit in your carry-on, especially if you plan to change for lunch or dinner, as there may be a wait for your luggage to be delivered to your stateroom.
PRO-TIP: On Celebrity Cruises, you can drop off your carry-on bags in your stateroom immediately upon arriving on the ship. You do not have to keep your bags with you until your stateroom is ready. This can make exploring the ship a more enjoyable experience. We recommend a small rolling carry-on.
4. Luggage Handling: On arrival at the terminal, it's recommended to drop off your baggage with the porters before proceeding to the parking area if you drove to the port. This ensures your luggage will be taken to your stateroom while you go through the check-in process.
PRO TIP: It is recommended to print your luggage tags at home from the Celebrity website and insert them into the special cruise tag holders that you can buy on Amazon. This is a great way to ensure that your luggage makes it to your stateroom quickly and easily.
5. Facilities at Terminal 25: Terminal 25 at Port Everglades is designed with a ‘Frictionless Arrival’ technology to smoothen the embarkation process. It also features an exclusive lounge for suite guests, enhancing the experience from the moment you step into the terminal.
6. Exploration: Once onboard, after settling into your stateroom, you're free to explore the ship's amenities, enjoy a drink, and kickstart your vacation mode. The embarkation process is designed to be smooth, ensuring your transition into the cruise experience with ease and excitement.
7. MANDATORY Muster Drill: Ever heard the term "it doesn't pass muster" well, this is it! In your Celebrity Cruises app, you'll e able to watch a few safety videos and then when you board the ship, you must find your assigned "Muster Station" as part of the "Muster Drill". This is a mandatory safety drill conducted to acquaint all passengers with the location of life jackets, lifeboats, and muster stations (the areas where passengers will gather in the event of an emergency). During the muster drill, the crew will demonstrate how to don a life jacket and provide essential safety information. The objective is to ensure that everyone knows how to reach their designated safety spots and what to do in the unlikely event of an emergency. It's crucial to pay attention during this drill as it is designed to enhance your safety and the safety of others onboard.
The embarkation process at Port Everglades Terminal 25 is structured to be smooth and efficient, ensuring you start your cruise vacation on a high note.
Once we set sail, you will not have cell service until we reach land again. Check your phone carrier to understand your international cellular service plans to use while you are on excursions in Kralendijk, Bonaire, Willemstad, Curacao, and the sunsets at Oranjestad, Aruba,
Guests may call one another's stateroom or set up meeting times/locations in order to stay in contact with one another.
Since this ship is all-inclusive, internet is FREE!
WhatsApp also works great onboard if you have a WhatsApp account because it is internet based. It's a great way to call home, have video calls and share photos with the family or friends on the ship.
If staying connected with family, friends, and work not traveling on the cruise, please consider purchasing an Internet Package or check with your cellular provider. Complimentary WiFi is not included in your cruise package. Please contact our conference coordinator with any questions.

Disembarking from a Celebrity Cruise ship involves a process that starts about 24 hours before you are scheduled to leave the ship. Here are the steps involved in the disembarkation process, based on the information from various sources:
1. Preparation (24 Hours Prior): About 24 hours before disembarkation, there will be a flurry of instructions provided to you regarding the process of leaving the ship. There is also usually a video to watch in your room on the TV that explains the process.
2. Assigned Departure Time: On the day of disembarkation, you'll be assigned a departure time, typically between 7:30 am and 8:30 am, although this can vary depending on the itinerary and other factors.
3. Debarkation Options: When it's time to disembark, you'll have two main options: express debarkation or checked-luggage debarkation. The choice depends on how quickly you want to leave the ship.
Express or self-debarkation allows you to carry your own luggage off the ship
Checked-luggage debarkation involves leaving your luggage outside your stateroom the night before, which will then be collected and placed in the terminal for you to collect once you disembark.
4. Exiting the Ship: You'll follow the instructions provided to exit the ship at your assigned departure time, proceeding to the designated disembarkation areas.
5. Customs and Immigration (if applicable): After exiting the ship, you may need to go through customs and immigration processes if required, depending on the port of disembarkation.
6. Luggage Collection: If you chose the checked-luggage debarkation option, you would then proceed to collect your luggage from the terminal.
7. Transportation: Once you have collected your luggage, you can then proceed to your next destination whether it be the airport, a hotel, or other transportation arrangements you have made.
Throughout this process, it's important to follow the instructions provided by the cruise staff and adhere to the timings to ensure a smooth disembarkation experience.
Plan your flight departure time accordingly to ensure that you have time to get off the ship and get to the airport in time to get through check-in, security, etc. and not be stressed! No need to create stress at the end of your trip!
FLL Airport: If you are flying out of Fort Lauderdale International Airport, make sure your flight departs after 11:30 am.
MIA Airport: If your flying out of Miami International Airport, make sure your flight departs after 12:00 noon
These steps are designed to provide a structured and efficient means for guests to transition from the cruise to their onward travel arrangements or other plans. It's always advisable to stay updated with the specific instructions and schedules provided by Celebrity Cruises to ensure a hassle-free disembarkation experience.
